Alarmzy collects no personal data. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it never sends anything about you to us or to anyone else. Everything the app knows stays on your iPhone.
What Alarmzy stores on your iPhone
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your alarms: time, repeat days, label, tone, and whether each is on | So they ring when you set them |
| Your wake log: when each alarm rang, when you finished its challenges, and mornings you skipped or missed | To show your streak and wake-up stats |
| For scan and photo challenges: the barcode you picked, the place you named, and the one photo of your spot you took when setting up the alarm | To check you're at the right code or spot when the alarm rings |
| Your settings, such as the Still up? check | To remember your choices |
This data is saved in the app's own storage on your device. Alarmzy has no server, so there is no copy anywhere else. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, the app's data is included in that backup the same way as any other app's, under Apple's terms.
Alarms and permissions
Alarmzy asks to schedule alarms through Apple's AlarmKit, so they ring in silent mode and through Focus. The alarm times you set are handed to iOS to ring them.
Some challenges need more, and Alarmzy asks for each only when one of your alarms uses a challenge that needs it:
- Microphone and speech recognition, to hear you say the quote. Recognition runs on your iPhone, and the audio is never recorded or sent anywhere.
- Camera, to see daylight, count exercise, scan a code or match your photo. Frames are looked at on your iPhone and thrown away. Only the one photo you take when setting up a photo challenge is kept, in the app's storage.
- Motion & Fitness, to count your steps. Only the step count for that morning is used.
Alarmzy doesn't ask for your location, contacts, photo library or health data.
Who else processes it
No one. Alarmzy contains no third-party code that collects data, and it makes no network connections.
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated figures such as install counts and crash reports. That sharing is controlled by you in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements, and it never includes your alarms or wake log.
Children
Alarmzy is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
- Delete an alarm in the app to remove it and stop it ringing.
- Delete the Alarmzy app to remove all of its data, including your wake log, from your iPhone.
